EXPERIENCE:
Extensive experience in all types of general commercial and business litigation.

Six years experience managing litigation and dispute resolution for national organizations.

Extensive experience in all areas of construction law, including construction contract drafting and negotiating for projects located in states across the country, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas; construction related dispute resolution; construction litigation; and construction project oversight. Experience includes drafting and negotiating owner and general contractor agreements; general contractor and subcontractor agreements; preconstruction agreements such as environmental, geotechnical, engineering and material testing agreements; change orders; and architectural agreements.

Litigated construction cases involving defective construction claims, delay claims, failure to pay claims and mechanic’s lien foreclosure actions in multiple jurisdictions across the country, including, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas.

Extensive experience in federal litigation defending national consumer reporting agencies against claims brought under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act and related state law claims. Broad experience defending debt collectors against claims brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Litigation and appellate experience in numerous district courts as well as the Sixth and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.

Experienced in real estate litigation, including various types of landlord / tenant disputes.

Performed all manner of creditor rights work, including mortgage foreclosures, mechanic’s lien foreclosures on commercial and residential property and pursuit of claims through bankruptcy adversary proceedings.

Experience in Indiana real property tax law including representation of both taxpayers and taxing authorities - tried cases and argued before Indiana Tax Court, Department of Local Government Finance and Indiana Board of Tax Review.
