EXPERIENCE:
Representation of business and individual clients in civil litigation matters and providing general business advice on various issues including business formation and entity selection, commercial negotiations, contract drafting, general contractual matters, commercial lease drafting, negotiations and enforcement, governance, fiduciary duties and disclosure requirements, risk management, employment issues, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, regulatory and governmental relations, compliance, real estate, landlord/tenant, acquisitions, financing, creditors rights and shareholder rights.

Mr. Chavis served for a number of years as the general counsel and deputy executive director for the Indianapolis Housing Agency. Mr. Chavis currently serves as a consultant to corporations and entrepreneurs in the area of supplier diversity and supply chain management. Mr. Chavis has experience in developing and managing supplier diversity programs. He also assists companies in obtaining minority and women-owned business certifications.

Admitted to Bar, 1990, Indiana. Admitted to practice before U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
